A full safety check of the bicycle component parts

  • Check the general condition of the bicycle frame and frame alignment. 

  • Degrease and relubrication of the drivetrain.

  • Front wheel hub, spokes and rim for serviceability. True any minor buckles (covers a range of 1 – 3 mm).

  • Front tyre & tube for condition and wear. Tyre inflated.

  • Front brake for serviceability and effectiveness, (adjusted if not functioning correctly).

  • Check for the security of the handlebars, grips, end caps, brake leavers and gears (if fitted).

  • Check the functionality and security of the headset.

  • Check for serviceability and security of the bottom bracket, crank arms and pedals.

  • Check for security and wear of the front chain rings, chain and front derailleur (including cable).

  • Check rear derailleur and rear cassette for wear, security and functionality (including cable).

  • Rear wheel hub, spokes and rim for serviceability. True any minor buckles (covers a range of 1 – 3 mm).

  • Rear tyre & tube for condition and wear. Tyre inflated.

  • Rear brake for serviceability and effectiveness, (adjusted if not functioning correctly).

  • Seat post and seat for serviceability and security.

  • Any fitted reflectors and safety items checked for security and serviceability. 

Advanced Service extras

  • Strip down and service of both wheel hubs. 

  • Headset and bottom bracket inspected and serviced, including regreasing.

  • Remove and deep clean the drive train components and relubricate with specific
    customer requirements.

  • Test ride of the bicycle to check for rider safety.

  • A copy of the inspection checklist and any key concerns provided to the customer.
