Hywel Thomas

After a successful 33 year career within the British and Australian Army, I have finally taken the plunge to pursue a lifelong ambition to run my own business within the bicycle maintenance and repair industry.
I have been a keen cyclist and hobby bicycle mechanic for over three decades. In 2017 I finally made the decision to attend a professional bicycle technician course with the Cycle System Academy team.
I have a passion for detail and high standards, my military background has given me plenty of training and experience in doing things right. I am now applying all of these skills to deliver the highest quality of workmanship possible.
My key ethos is flexibility. I will work around the demands of the busy customer to offer the best service possible to get the cyclist back up and pedalling again. Work can be carried out at your home, place of work or returned to my dedicated workshop.
A unique support that MBT offers is a call out service. Customers who are stranded at the roadside, need repairs, or to recover both bicycle & rider and returned safely to their home. MBT is based in Royal Wootton Bassett and covers the wider Swindon area and surrounding villages.

Terms & Conditions
1. There is a minimum call out fee of £35.00 (at the annotated areas*). This will be waived when labour charge goes above £35.00.
2. There is a minimum call out fee of £40.00 (at the annotated areas**) This will be waived when labour charge goes above £40.00.
3. Callouts outside of the business working area will be charged at £0.50 per mile and will not be deducted from the overall fee.
4. If an arrangement has been made for a customer to collect their bicycle from the workshop and the bicycle is not collected on time, the business has a right to charge for storage at the cost of £2.00 per day.
5. Bicycles not collected or payment received for any work carried out after 14 days will lead to the bicycle being disposed of.
